Secondary Schools

If you are a parent of a child in Year 6, you should apply for a secondary school place for your child by 31st October. Click here to visit the East Sussex County Council website, where you can find more information and read the admissions booklet. The booklet is divided into ten parts that can be downloaded separately; secondary schools are in part three.

Open evenings, normally held in late September or early October, are unlikely to go ahead at present, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, virtual school tours may be offered. See each school's website for details.

Even if you know which school you would like your child to go, we would suggest you consider several schools, get a feel for them and select at least a second choice as well. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to give everyone their first choice. To apply online, click here. Allocations are normally sent out at the beginning of March.

For your information, details of our local secondary schools, with links to their websites can be found below.
