Guestling Bradshaw CE Primary School

There is a palpable sense of community and kindness within Guestling Bradshaw Church of England Primary School. Pupils and staff alike are happy and feel part of a well-supported community. Parents and carers describe the way their children ‘skip to school’ and ‘flourish’ because staff ‘really care about them’. Pupils are known especially well as individuals, receiving regular check-ins from staff both in terms of their emotional wellbeing, their interests and how they are finding their learning.

Behaviour here is a particular strength. Pupils are keen and motivated to learn, engaged in their lessons and keen to share what they know. Around the school site they treat one another with high levels of respect and move keenly to lessons to get on with learning.

The inspectors recognised something that we know and feel every day at Guestling – our wonderful sense of community.  They saw the care, love and respect that sit at the heart of our school and recognised the strength of the relationships between children, staff and families.

The report celebrates so much of what makes Guestling such a special place to learn and work. It reflects the dedication of our staff and governors, the positive relationships we have with our families and, most importantly, the character, enthusiasm and individuality of our children. It also recognises the breadth of opportunities we provide for our pupils to learn, discover, develop their talents and experience new things, alongside our commitment to preparing them well for the future. We want our children to leave Guestling not only with a strong foundation for their next steps in education, but with the confidence, resilience, curiosity and skills they need to thrive in the wider world.
