Welcome to Guestling Bradshaw Primary School PTA!
What we do:
We are a friendly and welcoming group of parents and carers who arrange events and activities to raise funds for the school and to provide opportunities for parents, staff and pupils to get together as part of the wider school community. In the past, these have included cake sales, a Santa’s grotto, quiz nights, as well as our annual Christmas and Summer Fairs.
Who we are:
We are a registered charity (registration number 1004526). We elect a Committee annually, who act as the trustees of the charity and are responsible for managing our activities and making sure that the money that we raise is spent appropriately. All parents, carers and teachers become members of the PTA upon joining the school and everyone is welcome to attend Committee meetings and stand for Committee positions.
Fundraising and Spending:
We are lucky as a school to have swimming pool and the PTA help with the upkeep of the pool. The pool was refurbished in 2019, with a new liner and flooring costing £6613. We contributed to a Star Gazing event held at the school supporting the school's Planetarium Day costing £192. In 2018, the swimming pool had a new roof installed costing £6280. In addition digital cameras were purchased for each class costing £165. In 2017, the PTA contributed £6500 to resurface the Adventure Playground.
Currently we are saving funds to construct an outdoor classroom area. We were successful in getting a Co-op Community Grant which has helped towards this project.
