Thrive
At Guestling–Bradshaw CE School we use the THRIVE approach to help support and develop emotional health, wellbeing and social skills, which are needed for everyday life and for learning to take place. Our aim is to support self-esteem and social awareness, and be able to think through our emotions.
Our planned activities involve using puppets and role-play, scenario discussion through sand tray work, painting, and making music.
In our THRIVE groups we have created Lego models, designed posters about emotions, made memory jars, discussed our strengths, and taught others something about our hobbies.
One of the activities this term is making our own happy place! We will be thinking about what we would like in our favourite place. What music, colour, pictures and memories?
