SPORTS KIT DONATION

Guestling are pleased to have been awarded a free Nike kit, with 15 football shirts, shorts and socks, from ‘Premier League Primary Stars’ following a successful application by Mr Swain & Mr Cunningham. The Premier League Primary Stars are an organisation that use the appeal of the Premier League and professional football clubs to inspire children, aged 5-11, to be active, providing access to resources and equipment.

SPORTING SUCCESS IN TERM 1

Football

Well done to the Y5/6 boys football team who took part in the Icklesham football
tournament last week. They won four games and drew one, beating Icklesham 2-1 in the final to win the tournament!

Badminton

Congratulations to the team of Seth, Danny, Crystal, Lyron, Jennifer, Isabelle,
Henry, Rubi-Lee for beating Pebsham 14-3!

Cross Country

Well done to all those who took part in the Cross Country at Sandown school last week! Congratulations especially to Sam B, Isaac B (Y3/4 boys), Marney (Y5/6 girls) and Dylan, George P and Jared (Y5/6 boys) who came in the top 10 in their races and go through to the next round.

Tag Rugby

Well done to Dylan, Henry, Kyle, Jake, Freddie, Summer, Finley, Liam, Poppy-May (Y6) Henry (Y5) who took part in a recent Tag Rugby tournament at William Parker. They won one match, and lost two.

SPORTING SUCCESS IN TERM 2

Football

Well done to our football team (Dylan, Henry, George C, George P, Sam, Jared, Buddy, Jack, Finlay) who won their recent Collins Cup match 12-0 against OVPA. They will now go through to the next round of the cup where they will face Staplecross.

Sports Crew

Bonnie, Jake, Poppy-May and Finley (Y6) attended a ‘Sports Crew’ training session at St Leonards Academy. As part of the Sainsbury’s School Games, they will help organise and promote school sport and assist in the development and planning of school games and activities. 

Badminton

Well tried to the team of Sam, Zep, Isaac, Clark, Rubi-Lee, Jennifer and Seth who drew 7-7 on matches with St Leonards Primary at a recent tournament but unfortunately lost out on points.

SPORTING SUCCESS IN TERM 3

The Y5/6 football team competed in the second round of the Collins Cup. Guestling ran out 6-1 winners after a strong second half display. Guestling progress to the quarter finals to play St Leonards. Well done to all involved!
